On 4th April 2019 Wallsend Manor celebrated its first birthday! We kicked off our celebrations with a yummy morning tea with all our residents, family, staff and friends. And of course, there was a beautiful cake to share with all our loved ones.

In the 12 months we have welcomed 100 permanent residents and provided respite care for 74 people. Some have enjoyed the experience so much they have come back for a second time!

Currently our oldest resident is 98 years old and has been with us for 11 months. He lives with his wife in one of our double rooms. We currently have 12 couples residing in Wallsend Manor which gives the home a very family orientated feel.

Wallsend Manor has at least 2 Registered Nurses on every shift and residents are well cared for with a team of 98 staff members to look after every aspect of the care including laundry and food services.

We look forward to many more birthdays to celebrate!
