Wallsend Manor has been getting into the Melbourne Cup spirit!

There was a fun fashion parade with all the residents strutting their outfits and fascinators prior to the race commencing. All the residents were able to show off their outfits and have a chance to work the catwalk just like they were in the Melbourne Birdcage.

Fun and joy filled the entire facility as there was an abundance of laughter and betting with all the sweep stakes that were being passed around. The atmosphere was incredible. As the races started all residents gathered in the main upstairs living area to watch the race alongside a large Wine and Cheese Buffet. Yum!

There was so much positive feedback from staff and residents saying it was a fantastic day. Everyone has already started counting down the days until next year’s Melbourne Cup!!
