Wallsend Manor Aged Care Community Connection in March 2026

At Wallsend Manor, community is something we live every day. March has been full of connection, laughter, and shared moments that have brought us all closer together.

You may have noticed we are looking a little different. This month, we introduced a refreshed brand and a new website to make it easier for all of us to stay informed and connected. While our look has changed, our commitment has not. We are still dedicated to caring for each other, creating a place that feels like home, and making sure everyone feels included and valued.

March brought plenty of friendly competition. Our Big Pong Championship was full of laughter and excitement. John took out the title as our newest champion. Moments like this remind us how important it is to have fun together, share a little friendly rivalry, and enjoy the energy of our community.

We were also thrilled to welcome a new volunteer, Billy, to our community. Billy brings a wealth of experience, including being ranked seventh in the world in hairdressing, along with warmth and generosity. Spending time with him has been a real treat, with some of us happily stepping away from happy hour for a fresh look. His presence has added another spark to our growing connections.

Looking ahead, we are preparing for a meaningful time of reflection. Our ANZAC Service will be a chance for us to come together, honour history, and remember the values we share. These occasions remind us how much connection comes from shared experiences and reflection. Many of the most meaningful moments, however, are the simple ones. Laughing over milk arrowroot biscuits, joining in a lively happy hour, or taking part in group activities are the small joys that make our community so special.

In March, we have also enjoyed exercise sessions, birthday celebrations, social time, and quiet moments to relax. These everyday experiences create a vibrant, engaged environment where we all feel welcome, included, and connected.
