Happy Australia Day!

On the 26th January 1788, a fleet of 11 British ships lead by Captain Arthur Phillip landed in Port Jackson, New South Wales. They sought to establish a Colony. They embarked on a journey to begin a new settlement and civilisation and renamed the land around the Botany Bay and Sydney Cove area. It is to the south of central Sydney. Over time, Australia has evolved into a very diverse and multicultural country. Today, we typically celebrate this National holiday amongst family, friends, foreigners and all Australians either by the beach or behind a barbeque, Australia day brings everyone together. Happy Australia Day!
